The World-wide Academic Visitor Exchange facilitates contact
between travelling scientists and prospective hosts:
- If you are about to travel you are invited to add your itinerary to a searchable database
- If you wish to host visitors you are invited to search this database
The search process can be automated if you subscribe with your email address:
you will be advised automatically of new entries that feature travel to your selected locations

Information is collected in three sections.
- General Information
- Your name.
- Your E-mail address.
- Your affiliation (optional).
You are also asked to provide a password of your choice for later editing of your entry.
- Details Common to all Destinations
- A brief description of your research interests/specialisation (optional).
- Other information relevant to prospective hosts (optional).
- Details Specific to each Destination
- Cities (and geographical region) you intend to visit for indexing in the database.
- Approximate dates of visit.
- Your interest in (i) informal discussions, (ii) presenting a colloquium and/or
(iii) acting as an external examiner.
- Other information relevant to prospective hosts at this particular destination (optional).
Until you select the "Save and Exit" option at the very end, you will be able to edit the information provided.
Once you have saved an itinerary, you use your WAVE password for later editing or deleting.
Your record will be automatically deleted after your travel dates have lapsed.
