| Data is a lifelike android who appears human in most respects. Only his yellow eyes and pale
gold skin indicate his remarkable artificial makeup. His unique positronic computer brain and
exhaustive memory allow him to assimilate information at rates far in excess of humans and he
possesses extraordinary analytic skills. Data’s impeccable performance on the Enterprise and his calm detached manner have earned him
the respect and affection of the entire crew. However, Data’s behaviour is a common source of
amusement as he tries to grasp the fundamentals of human emotions, in particular humour.

| Will Riker, First Officer of the USS Enterprise, possesses the talent, ambition and
leadership qualities to make him one of Starfleet’s finest and most exemplary young officers. Able
to make difficult decisions in moments of extreme stress Riker has been offered command positions
on several occasions but has turned them down to remain doing the work he loves on the USS
Enterprise. As First Officer, Riker is responsible for the overall maintenance of craft and crew and for the
Captain’s safety. Leading dangerous Away Missions is also one of his principal duties. His
handsome looks and wicked sense of humour make him a favourite with the opposite sex. Never
one to be idle Riker enjoys playing jazz trombone and playing a mean hand at poker.

| Deanna, the beautiful and compassionate Ship’s Counsellor is half Betazoid. Her ancestry
allows her an uncanny ability to sense the feelings of others despite not possessing the full
telepathic abilities of Betazoids In combination with her training in psychology Deanna’s abilities
are invaluable both in the maintenance of a harmonious working environment aboard the Enterprise
and in learning to deal with the strange and alien species the crew encounter in their missions. Deanna and Riker were once involved in an intense romantic relationship but Riker’s devotion to
his work brought about it’s demise. Deanna & Riker have worked hard to obtain the warm
friendship & professional working relationship which now exists between them.

| The sensuous Dr Navarre's extraordinary Adaptive Machine Neural Network Systems
(AMNETS) company has made her a multi millionaire in her mid 20s. Her ability to hold and connect
contradictory ideas has led to both an outstanding academic career in Network Plasticity
Technology & Theory, in addition to the success of her company. The alluring Dr Navarre's exotic
looks and fluid, almost chaotic intelligence, are a legacy from her human mother and her
Cordhonian ambassador father. The Cordhonian do not believe in any form of organised
government, nor in any of rules or laws. Their societies function surprisingly smoothly on the
premise that total commitment to one's individual path is ultimately to the benefit of all. Dr Navarre, a civilian, has been contracted to make the USS Enterprise's computer system more
adaptive and hence, better able to combat the Borg. A world renowned scholar on late 20th century
Earth culture, Navarre has captivated the crew of the Enterprise with her lively if unorthodox
personality.

| Captain R'ancoeur's rise through Starfleet's ranks has been nothing short of stellar.
Abandoning a potentially brilliant career in Synaptic Interchange Theory in her youth she proved
to be one of the finest Starfleet cadets ever. Her keen intelligence and natural leadership have seen
her rocket to her current status as Commander of a small probe ship performing dangerous
exploratory missions of hostile environments. Personable but somewhat aloof, her abrupt "need to know basis" style tends to ruffle feathers,
perhaps leading to the somewhat unkind rumours regarding her rapid rise through the ranks and
special relationship with Admiral Mulder. A brilliant strategist with a fiercely competitive nature she
is fond of physical and mental challenges. In fact, she and another cadet still hold the record for
The Test, a strategy & survival contest that has legendary status at the Academy.

| Ship's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Crusher combines the expertise of a brilliant physician with
the skills and insights of a keen researcher. Her abilities to swiftly analyse new and unprecedented
medical problems which frequently confront the crew of the Enterprise have more than validated
her selection as Ship’s doctor. Dr Crusher’s beautiful and youthful appearance belie her ability to make tough but always
humanitarian decisions. Her warmer, maternal side is revealed both in her relationship with her son,
Wesley and her close friendship with Captain Picard. However, her relationship with Cpt Picard has
never prevented her from disagreeing passionately with him on matters of medical or ethical
significance.

| Geordi has been blind from birth but his VISOR (Visual Instrument and Sensory Organ
Replacement) allows him to view his surroundings in ways far more detailed and extensive than
human vision. In fact he can "see" the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Despite the pain which is
constantly present when wearing the VISOR Geordi has chosen not to take advantage of the
improvements in medical engineering which would now allow him replacement eyes. As the ship’s acknowledged engineering expert his incredible knowledge about every aspect of the
ship’s functioning and ability to quickly identify and rectify the often unique engineering problems
encountered make him a valuable member of the crew. His genial manner and enthusiasm make him
well-liked by everyone but his closest friend the Enterprise is Data. They share a consuming
fascination with technology.
