December 2009 One of our long-standing associates, Gordon Brown, will be visiting from the U.K. in December. At the moment, the dates are now known to be12 December - 7 January 2010. Watch this space for more details.
November 2009 The annual end-of-year lab BBQ was again held in Connolly, as usual, and this time we were lucky in many ways.... no one brought anything smelly and it didn't rain and the food was edible. Pity Annie wasn't there, but it appears that a good time was held by all. Photos can be found here.
March 2009 The new Honours students have arrived and are settling in. Well done! Abel Oh has returned from early retirement (or was it a career in chess?) to resume his studies in the PhD program. Great decision, welcome back.
February 2009 We have agreed to host next year's OzMathPsych conference (also known as the Australasian Mathematical Psychology Conference), which will take place in Margaret River, February 15-17. The conference website is accessible here.
December 2008 The annual end-of-year lab BBQ was held in Connolly, as usual, and despite the occasional rain (RAIN!!! it's November and it's raining in Perth, something is seriously wrong!!) it appears that a good time was held by all. Photos can be found here.
November 2008 Stop print: Dr Ulli Ecker was awarded a $20,000+ Research Development Award from UWA. Congratulations, and well done!

The annual end-of-year lab BBQ will be held at the Lewandowsky residence (as usual) on Sunday 23 November. All members of the lab are welcome to attend.

We are also in the process of saying a fond farewell to our 2008 Honours students. Pictures of the graduating crowd (and various hangers-on) can be found here.

We are getting ready to welcome Gordon Brown and Simon Farrell to the lab in December. Gordon will be staying for a week or so (dates to be announced), whereas Simon will be here for almost a month (18 December - 8 January).

October 2008 Congratulations are due to Dr. Daniel Little, whose PhD thesis was passed with flying colors (i.e., minor revisions). Well done Dan!
September 2008 Congratulations are due to Dr. David Sewell, whose PhD thesis was passed with flying colors (i.e., minor revisions). Well done Dave!
August 2008 We say good-bye to a long-time member of the lab, Daniel Little, who's taken up a post-doctoral position at Indiana University with Rich Shiffrin and Rob Nosofsky. We wish him all the best in this next important chapter in his career.
July 2008 We say good-bye to a long-time member of the lab, David Sewell, who's taken up a post-doctoral position at the University of Melbourne with Phil Smith. We wish him all the best in this next important chapter in his career.
June 2008 Congratulations are due to Dr. Erin Colreavy, formerly Ms. Colreavy (and now also the  second Dr. Bell in the family), whose PhD thesis passed with flying colors (i.e., minor revisions).
April 2008 The lab was well represented at the annual prize-giving ceremony of the School of Psychology. Charles Hanich won the prize for the top-performing student in last year's 3315 cognition unit, and Stewart Craig won a large number of prizes for his Honours performance (best thesis and so on). Pictures of this event can be viewed here. Congratulations to Charles and Stewart!
